Hello everyone. We are looking to stream live dj gigs.
We are looking to have few action cameras for the start... One is going to be pointed in to dj booth
2nd to film the crowd and to capture whole place basicaly.
And we are looking to get some camcorder
"for example like sony fdr ax53"
And we would like to go wireless here because we want walk around the place...
I know that video capture card is requied probably
But my question will be:
How to make this happen... Stream from camcorder to obs?
Also if you got any advice related to whole plan please share it!
Thanks.

elgato camlink + an HDMI transmitter may be a solution, but an investment. camcorder to elgato camlink for sure will work, the wireless part is sort of the curveball. The transmitters will need their own power I'm guessing. Camlink runs of usb power, and the camcorder has its own batteries, but the transmitters may either need to use camera battery or additional batteries.

Something like this transmitter from best buy for wireless, with a set up using the sony camera, frist plugged into the transmitter and the wireless dongle plugged into cam link. That one, in particular, doesn't need a wifi network to transmit so that is ideal. However, with any sort of wireless, you have range and interference issues.

You could also attach an HDMI switch to the camlink (4 in x 1 out, for example) and then can switch channels for multiple cameras. Multiple dongles could be a problem with interference, but you could have a couple stage cameras, a dj camera, and an audience free roam camera.

if money is no worry, the gunrun backpack is your top of the line portable solution.
