Question / Help stream fps dropping when doing anything

i am playing WoW and i was using gamecapture and the fps just drop randomly, even with display capture.

i7 8700k
gtx 1080
32gb ram
144hz monitor (which im thinking is causing something to happen?)

any help would be great thanks :)

In your encoder settings, change from Max Quality down to Quality, and turn off Look Ahead and Psychovisual Tuning. All of these options use extra GPU processing in addition to the nvenc encoder.

As a side note, I would also suggest changing to CQP instead of VBR just for quality consistency. This probably has no impact at all on game performance, but does ensure you're getting consistent quality in your recordings without extra bitrate.
