Stream deck won't transition scenes

I1m having a lot of problems with obs after the latest update. I use the stream deck mobile to transition scenes while livestreaming. Intially it stopped working, then, I followed all steps on elgatos page, deleted the pugins to fix the error message. However now I have 2 problems:
1- when I use the app in the computer it won't change scenes at all. If I click on a scene a message "waiting for OBS" pops up and it won't connect with the software.
2- The app on my phone changes the scenes but only in the preview, it doesn't transition to the actual scene.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I am having this issue too, everything else in my multi-task action is working fine but it will not change scenes. I also get the never ending "waiting for OBS" message

Update the plugin, remove it or reinstall OBS 27.2.4
In the update alert was clearly explained.

I've done that already and the problem remains... I don't know what to do at this point

I solved this by adding a 1 second delay, then alt tabbing into OBS before my scene change :) looks like the below now
