I've been using a Stream Deck XL for several years. I haven't needed anything but a basic scene while doing Zoom/Teams style meeting for quite awhile. When I tried to use it today, I got the "Waiting for OBS" message and the forever spinny wheel in the Stream Deck software.
After reading a bunch of posts and finding that "Elgato Stream Deck" was no longer appearing under "Tools" I began my Google-fu and troubleshooting.
I'm here.
I failed.
Help please?
Current Log File just in case: https://obsproject.com/logs/IkBHgxWAHhhECTRn
Steps taken (imagine 6 or 7 reboots in and around these steps):
1. Ensure updated OBS - 30.0.2
2. Update Stream Deck - 6.5.1 (19929)
3. Uninstall/Reinstall OBS Studio plugin inside of Stream Deck
4. Try to manually install (copypasta) the Stream Deck .pdb and .dll files from the installation file into the 64bit folder inside OBS Plugins folder
I tried the plain ones (first two)
- with the .55D... at the end
- deleting the .55D... at the end
I tried the QT6ones (first two)
- with the .55D... at the end
- deleting the .55D... at the end
No such luck - many internal restarts and reboots in and around this process.
One time I got an odd error message about not loading or something along with a version number, but I didn't screenshot it and couldn't get it to repeat.
I've tried a few other things in threads that I don't remember at the moment that also didn't work. Any suggestions would be really appreciated right about now.
Thanks,
Wim
