Question / Help Stream begins to fail after certain amount of time

THIS IS A COPY FROM MY REDDIT POST FOUND HERE: https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/6r2evm/twitchobs_gurus_help_needed_stream_dies_after_time/

So, I've got a strange problem, I've listed my computer specs at the bottom of this post for those who wish to see it. I stream daily, however I am constantly haunted by the fact that at any moment my stream quality can take a dive from HERO to ZERO.

At the moment I can stream a consistent 30FPS at 1280x720 resolution using x264 Codec. I stream at the veryFast CPU usage setting on 2500kbps/bitrate.

All games I stream run from a SSD for optimum data transfer, this is something i've always done. Recently I have been able to stream for anywhere upto around 2 hours to a consistent quality and all of a sudden (within a second) the stream will begin to deteriorate in terms of bitrate and also frames per second.

PLEASE SEE THIS TWITCH INSPECTOR SCREENSHOT AT BOTTOM OF POST

I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me here, It's starting to make me slightly cautious about streaming, and I've really just got back into it again and I love doing it.

If you go to my Twitch and look at the 2.9hr vod from 01/08/2017 you can see where it starts to drop around about 2 hours into the vod.

See OBS Log file here: https://pastebin.com/i5puPN5F

Computer Specs are here; https://pastebin.com/GB1Cac0R

Speedtest.net: http://i.imgur.com/dm4NN76.png

20:50:39.280: Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 47018 (14.8%)
20:50:39.280: Output 'adv_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 62461 (27.3%)

The log indicates you are having CPU and networking problems.

Could your PC be over heating?
Also test network throughout to Twitch before you stream and after the failure with this tool, speed test is too generic.

Post some screen shots of the results please.

Hey!

This has been solved I think, I did what you suggested and noticed my bandwidth is dropping in comparison to the start of my stream, I then did some generic speed tests after my stream and my upload speed was cut by ~75%!!

https://my.virginmedia.com/traffic-management/traffic-management-policy-30Mb-or-higher.html

Turns out my ISP is throttling my upload speed as part of a "Traffic Management System". After a 15 minute phonecall and telling them I will be switching ISP, they removed me from traffic management and I seem to be all good now.

Thanks for the help!.
