my stream audio is too quiet at the same time my recorded audio is fine. When i turn up the volume in OBS (i set my mic/aux to +26db) the stream volume gets louder but the recorded audio is too loud. Is there a way to adjust that in a better way? Thanks in advance for helping here. If you need more information let me know.

I think that you don't need to run OBS Studio for the Gaming PC at all in this case. Are you using Fullscreen Projector?

By the way, can you set up the same value of the sample rate for all your sources (44100)?

ok. As you might have noticed I am pretty new to this whole streaming thing. I watched some videos how to set up a 2pc streaming setup and now it works somehow. I appreciate all tips that improve my stream. And yes, I use Fullscreen Projector. I realized that there must be a smoother way to do it.

Actually it was all set to 44100 before yesterday and I switched it to 48000 to see if there were any changes. Now I switched it back to 44100 like you said. Thanks so far! I think beside my audio issue, there are much more things to learn.

In simple output mode only one track is recorded, so it should be the same for all stages. Just for test purposes - choose the Recording Quality: Same as stream.

ok just tested it. I switched to Same as Stream in the simple output settings. Still I am too quiet while streaming and recording is fine. When i turned mic/aux to +23,5db stream is loud enough but at the same time the recording is too loud.

Something wrong with the player or web server you are streaming to. Try VLC player at 100% (not 150%) sound volume.

you are right. I turned the volume in VLC to 100% (was on 125%) and now the recording is as quiet as the stream was when it is set to normal +0db. I am streaming on Twitch, the server is Frankfurt, Germany.

I mean it is not that much of a problem to set the volume to +23db. but i thought it's not how it's supposed to be. But maybe I'm wrong with that

thanks so far for your help. I'm now running OBS with up to +25db and it works. You said I don't have to run OBS on my Gaming PC. How does that work? Currently I'm using Fullscreen Projector as you noticed already.

You already have one PC where Studio running, of course, if you want to show single window and you alt-tabbing a lot during streaming session then Fullscreen Projector is a valid option. Another way - is to capture whole display (cloned by windows) and still use the keys from second PC to fully control the scene.

If you don't have capture card in second PC (or want to remove it) then it is possible to capture content by OBS Studio on gaming PC, do light compression (MPEG2 for example) and transfer the data to second PC via LAN. Then you can import this data stream via VLC Player Source or Media Source in OBS Studio that running by "streaming PC", add scene decoration (if required) and start streaming to the Internet. This is common usage of OBS Studio when application running for both PCs.
