hey,

i hope to find here solution to my problem

i have 1440p monitor, use 1440p native resolution and also 1440p ingame resolution.
i'm streaming on one pc to twitch.

my settings are :
base canvas resolution : 1440p
output scale resolution : 1080p
bitrate 6,000
60fps
nvidia nvenc h.264
internet upload : more then 100.

the stream quality is very good but i have a lot of lagging in game.
so i tried to change the base resolution to 1080p and now better on lag(not the best) but worst quality srteam.

what do i need to put on base& scale resolution for the best quality and best non-lagging game ?

my setup :
10700K intel
3070 rtx nvdia

the only way that the game in the best with lagging is when i do:
base canvas resolution : 1440p
output scale resolution : 720p
bitrate 4,500
but again - the stream quality is very blurry and doesnt look nice.

i hope you can help me :)

please send a log file to have a look at your settings and what game are you talking about?

you can keep 1080p and in the settings menu, under output, try setting "cpu usage preset" to ultra fast. That might help

Best way to setup OBS for your system is to run the Auto-configuration Wizard (tools menu), apply the settings, restart OBS and then test. Remeber to restart OBS before testing.

hi,
i use nvenc h.264 so i dont have this option.
any other suggestions ?
you might try 1080p 30 fps. gives you half the cpu load. 30 is perfectly ok. Also you can use the task manager (right click on button bar) and see what else is running. You do share the cpu with other programs (Like your game). you also want to see how much "free" memory you have. You also want to set using the obs settings page to set you program priority at high. I use CBR encoding, but am not sure it is the best! I use a program called "netlimiter 4" to limit or block other programs from using the internet if I think them unnecessary at the time. Also chrome tabs suck cpu cycles , specially if you are playing some background video or music (even if muted). If I try to upload a file to youtube while streaming , it kills my stream because it is a very bandwidth greedy program, so I use netlimiter to limit the available upload bandwidth for chrome. I only have 11mps upload speeds, so you can see why I'm concerned about other programs using the internet. You may have plenty and need not worry.
