Question / Help Stream and record at the same time with different encoding settings.

As of last week i have been unable to stream and record my gameplay using the same encoder BUT with different settings.
I was using these settings before:

and they were fine, but now i get the error:

Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.
Note: If you are using the NVENC (I am) or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.​

So i updated my drivers and it still doesn't work. Seems like a software bug to me, my PC can easily handle this type of recording, this happens even at desktop. Maybe it has something do do with the fact that i recently got an Oculus Rift and also have that plugged into my GPU?

Only way to find out is by unplugging it and try again. It works for me to use Nvenc for both.

Also no Log attached, so no info on hardware etc.

It looks like your Oculus is using one of your available NVENC encoder sessions, meaning OBS cannot have two of them:

Yup i pulled out my rift restarted my PC and now i can record and stream so i will just have to stream only. Cheers to both of you.
