Hello all -
I run a dual PC setup and recently built a new gaming PC. When I built the new PC, I swapped my capture card out of my old streaming PC into my old gaming PC, because it was much beefier.
The issue I'm having is I'm able to stream at 1080 @ 60 FPS at an 8k bitrate without issue, with all OBS settings maxed to NVENC. I am also able to use the same settings (maxed) for recording (doing so concurrently to streaming) and not having any frame drop issues what so ever that I can see from the stats window or the logs. I am struggling to understand why when viewing my recordings, I am seeing a random what seems like microstutter occasionally like a few frames may be missing and not sure what I can do to further increase the quality and remove that stutter.
I've tried encoding the recordings with x264 which can't produce nearly the quality I can with the NVENC encoding without actual encoder overloading, and I've tried a mix of different settings within the NVENC encoder, including CBR, VBR and obviously settled on CQP because of all of the recommendations I've seen all over these forums and others.
I feel as if I have tried everything I could to get the best possible quality out of the recordings, but nothing seems to be fixing this microstutter and not 100% clear recording at all times.
Just an FYI - I am using an OBS projector locked at 59.94 FPS to project a game capture to the capture card. OBS is the only application running on the streaming PC, and CPU usage is < 5%.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am lost with this one.
Here is an example of the current quality: https://youtu.be/uQRQn36T8VU
Here are the OBS logs: https://pastebin.com/8rTem9ME
Thank you all in advance,
RiZ
