Hi all,
Excuse me if this has been asked before - just did a search and nothing related seemed to come up.
Problem:
When using my iPhone (via USB) as a video source, I get some weird "non linear" video delay in preview mode
- when capturing an image that is constantly changing (e.g. a speaker who's moving somewhat), there will be a delay of a few 100 ms
- if the image does not change for a while (= a still, so to speak), and if after that while the image starts changing/moving anew, I get a delay of several seconds (!?)
- if the image only changes momentarily, after which it continues to remain still, the delay will remain at several seconds
- however, if I the image continues to change, the delay gets less and less over time until it settles on the original few 100 ms
In other words, when the captured image doesn't change, the processing of the image seems to be lagging more and more, and when it finally does change and continues to do so, the video playback speed will increase momentarily so as to "catch up", after which it will return to normal.
Or, put even differently, I have to keep any image moving in order not to experience an overly high video delay.
Really really strange!! Anyone else had this problem, or have an opinion?
Using: OBS 19.0.3 / OS 10.10.5 / iPhone 5 / MacBookPro Late 2012
..which isn't the newest stuff, I know, but this weird kind of thing shouldn't have happened even when it was new??
Will greatly appreciate any input! =o))
