Hello i just started to notice this strange sound when using obs studio

I switch to OBS classic and had no noise - Thank you in advance

I decided to try to test it myself by watching a YouTube video and recording that youtube video with OBS-Studio at audio bitrate of 160... and the broken sound problem just happened to my recordings.

Possibly a broken "Media Foundation AAC" audio encoder with this specific music in this game, with a bitrate of 160.


The following does fix the broken audio for me.

change audio bitrate to 320.
--- OR ---
delete or move win-mf.dll out of plugin folder. OBS-Studio-20.0.1-Full\obs-plugins\64bit\win-mf.dll
This stops the corrupting audio with log file that shows: [FFmpeg aac encoder: 'Track1'] bitrate: 160, channels: 2
Don't know if there is an option to change audio encoder through OBS-studio menus.

A much better solution would be to try installing the CoreAudio encoder, rather than removing the windows media foundation plugin. That is not a recommended solution.
