Question / Help Strange FPS drop in some games

Hey,

I have some strange fps drops in recording some games, eg: Layers Of Fear or The Evil Within
where eg Outlast runs perfect.

I record in 2K@60 FPS lossless withp qp=0 preset=ultrafast YUV setting is NV12 yuv matrix 709 partial.

I always record game and facecam in two instances of OBS studio.
I have 2 profiles and 2 scene sets for that.

works great.

i can see ingame & facecam on a 2nd monitor while recording and it looks like the capture fps drops to around 20-25 FPS while ingame ist still 60+ fps - so the fps drop effects also the facecam.

i never had issues before. i think its a combination of the latest version of obs studio & nvidia driver.
long time i used 0.12.1 without any problems.

my gfx card is gtx970

any ideas?

can nobdy help, please?

to be clear: recording/streaming ist not the problem.
It seems the capture itself is laggy in some games; you can see in in the preview.

i will reinstall my machine this evening to be sure it's not my windows installation.

forget about it. aftern reinstalling windows, everything's fine again.
