Question / Help Stram drops frames randomly HELP!

Try using a bitrate of 3500 and test which server is the best in your area by downloading this > https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest
Usually OBS uses the best and closest server in your area but you can test the maximum upload speed & fastest server on that website.

I am guessing that your using x264 instead of the Nvidia Encoder ( nvenc ).
If so what is the quality preset at? ( Low, Medium, Fast, Faster, Superfast, Ultrafast? )
The higher the lower the cpu load.
The bits your uploading goas through your cpu so try to go from ultrafast and if that works well with no frame loss then go lower until you found the right settings.

Also what worked for me was to change the process priority to Above Norma (Higher could affect gameplay).

If this didnt help try to update your network adapters via Device Manager.

Let me know if anything helped.

Hmm oke so what are your pc specs?
Cpu?
Ram?
Videocard?

Disable the box "Enforce streaming service bitrate limits"
You should only use that if your streaming above 6000 bitrate.
Twitch only allows 6000 bitrate.
So it doasn't have any benefits.

Change the output methode to Advanced.
Then post a picture of it.
And post a picture of your video settings what you use for streaming.

Edit : Twitch allows up to 9000 bitrate but only with the box "Enforce streaming service bitrate limits" enabled

It seems your not the only one with this exact same problem. Windows 7 to w 10 and not being able to stream the game anymore. Its obvious that is has to do something with windows 10. The most obvious sollution is to go back to windows 7. I'm going to do my best to try and find a better sollution today.

I got the problem for you. Its indeed not your settings or Overwatch itself. There has been a new windows 10 update which made an fps drop on Overwatch. There is only one sollution until a new update of w10 rolls out. The only sollution at the moment is to go back to w7 or to go back to an older version of w10. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/o...ter-the-latest-windows-10-build-update/223046

Be adviced data might get lost when you go back to an older version of windows.

But..i don't play overwatch i've been playing bo4..

In output Settings :

Disable the box "Enforce streaming service bitrate limits"
Disable the box "Rescale Output"
Use a bitrate of 4000

You could try a game thats less intense.
Bo4 eats allot of Gpu / Cpu.

The most common problem would be the gpu.
If your gpu is using a 100% when your playing the game then you have nothing left for your obs.
You should have at least 20% gpu usage left for your obs.

There is no internet / bitrate issue so if this didnt help, then it must be your hardware.
That means upgrading your gpu or cpu.

i should mention im also using a capture card since i play on console

So to get it all up on one line.

Your console is doing all the hardwork to play the game.
Your capture card is giving the information to your obs on your pc
Your pc is giving the information to Mixer.

One question.
What exactly has an fps drop?
Stream or Console? Both?

Stream but i think disabling the Enforce streaming service encoder setting fixed my issue, did a test and no huge frame drops since, i drop about 5 frames every now and then but thats pretty normal for my setup
Edit: In fact i think my stream got even better with handling the frames
