Stinger transition with matte hanging on last frame before switching to next scene

I am using a stinger transition with stinger on left and track matte on right and set it up two days ago and had the transition timing spot on. Suddenly, today the timing is out of sync even though I re-set it again for the same timing I set it for two days ago. The stinger appears to be hanging on the last frame for about a second before switching to the next frame, and no matter what timing I set it for I have been unable to fix it. Also, something appeared to happen yesterday, where a second stinger I had saved in OBS vanished without explanation and suddenly reappeared in OBS this morning... What is happening?

I've found similar behaviour where my stinger is hanging on the last frame too, but only after opening the stinger properties and then saving. From that point, it'll hang on the last frame until a restart. Wonder if this may be part of your issue?
