Question / Help Stereo image problem (External audio interface) [SOLVED]

Hallo obs community,
I want to be able to stream a stereo audio signal, this works fine, but when I use the microphone its signal comes either from the left or from the right side.
In obs audiomixer I can check the "force mono" option. The microphone signal comes now from the mid, but I lose the stereo out.

Is there any possibility to solve this problem?

Cheers :)

Hallo obs community,
I finally solved my problem. Maybe there is an easier way to do it, but I will explain how I solved it, in case someone has the same problem.

System and Software Information:
I am on Mac OSX 10.10.3
DAW: Ableton Live 8 64bit
I am using OBS 0.14.1 (mac)
I use an external audio interface: "Focusrite Saffire pro 14" with the Saffire MixControl 3.7 (Software)
I also use JackPilot: JackOSX 0.90, Here is the link: http://jackaudio.org/downloads/

Solving the problem:
  1. This interface has a Loopback function, use it. Select DAW1 & DAW2

  2. Start JackPilot, go to preferences, I use this Settings:
    jackpref-png.15582

Save your settings, now press the "Start" button.

  3. Next open your DAW (Ableton) & OBS. In OBS Go to Settings/Preferences (I use a german version) > Audio > Select external audio device: JackRouter
    obs-audio-settings-png.15583

  4. Go to JackPilot and click on the "Routing" button, a small window pops up.
The Interface uses capture_7 & capture_8 as Loopback channels. My microphone is plugged into the first channel, capture_1. I routed them like this:
  • capture_1 > obs:in3 & obs:in4 (doubled it, so the mono signal comes from both channels, sounds like from the middle)
  • capture_7 > obs:in1
  • capture_8 > obs:in2
  • Here is a screenshot for the capture_1 routing:

Don't forget to save your routing!

I don't know if this matters but, in OBSs audio mixer I use this settings:
obs-mixer-png.15585

I hope this was useful, have a great day

Cheers ;)

You want Jack2.
http://jackaudio.org/downloads/

JackPilot is the program that comes with it to start up and control jack. There is a routing window inside it. Personally, I use QJackCtl, a third-party program that does this with a few more options/features. However, I cannot find a current binary download, and I saw that the current source version is a good two+ years newer than the binary I've been using.
