Question / Help Steam Lag (Please Help)

Hello OBS Forums,

So my problem is that every time i try to livestream to twitch.tv, the stream has lag. By this I mean the video is choppy and it isn't smooth. I am using a a mac so the settings are a little different from windows. Here are my internet specs:

PING: 32
Download Speed: 59.54
Upload Speed: 50



Please help!

I was going to start a new thread for a similar problem. Going to try what reccomended above.

Mid 2011 iMac
i5 2.5ghz
16gb Ram
70/20 down/up.

I shall report back once I get a chance to test it out.

I would probably recommend a lower scaled resolution in video settings. Something like 920x540 might give you better results. That wasn't a complete log file though, so I'm not entirely sure. You'd have to get a complete log file (should be done with 'last' log file rather than 'current' log file)

I found the problem it's cause I used elgato as a window making it lag. Can you help every time I stream a game like minecraft or el gato my facecam is fine but the window capture is laggy?

Minecraft is a very CPU intensive game (especially if playing with mods). If you've got a i5 or an i7 you should be good. If you are lagging with those it might be time to upgrade your RAM.
What are your system specs?

Jim can you make a short video how to stream el gato on obs on mac. A few streamers are doing that but aren't telling me how. They did display capture and then window but that just gave me a ton of windows. Please help.
