The title pretty much says it all, sometimes there will be static and sometimes there wont be any.

Here is an example of the static:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEjSz1CZM-A
When listening to that, it sounds as if there are some sound distortions as well.

EDIT: Not even 45 minutes later it fixed itself:

But it will happen again it happens all the time.

PS. This log file was created when the static was happening.

(its probably my end, idk what's going on.)

This is most likely not caused by OBS - it's almost assuredly something else. What the actual cause is I'm not quite sure, could be drivers or the mic, or something else I'm unaware of.

I realize this might seem convenient for me to say, but I'm honestly not writing off your issue or anything. We don't do anything with the audio after it's been given to us by windows itself. The only time the audio is actually modified is when the user adds a filter, otherwise it's untouched. The audio you hear is the audio that's being given by windows itself to OBS, so the issue in question happens before it even gets to OBS, if that makes sense. It would have to be one of the following things: the driver (unlikely unless it uses custom drivers), the mic itself, the hardware being used with the mic (such as a mic amp), the mic cable, windows itself (unlikely); any one of those things before it actually gets to OBS.

Yes I realize this now, the static goes away if i unplug my mic, wait a few seconds before plugging it back in. I'm sorry for making this thread before thoroughly testing my setup.
