Question / Help Static / Mic Not Recognized by OBS

I just did a recording for YouTube and noticed a static everytime I talked. Background sound like my kids yelling came through fine. Thinking maybe it's my gain too high, I lowered it. Same result. I then went to the control panel and listened to the mic... no static. Recorded again, static.

I went to the settings menu and went to the audio section. Under my microphone it says, "Device not connected or not available".

This all started AFTER I did the last update with this program (which I did minutes before the recording). I've done other recordings with nothing changed on the PC and it worked fine.

How do I fix these issues? I'm running a Blue Yeti mic by the way.

Disregard the mic not being recognized. I was able to get it to show up after reinstalling Nvidia drivers (with the audio driver included). I'm still getting the static (clicks) with my voice.

Here's what it's doing:

I've tried moving the usb plug to a different port, changed multiple settings in the settings back and forth in OBS, nothing. I tried putting quality to 48K then back to 44.1K. Pretty much everything I can think of.

I recorded my audio with Audacity (no filters, no enhancements)...

Clearly there's no static there. Only when I'm recording my mic with OBS Studio. I did create that audio only video with OBS (just played the audio track while recording). So it seems to only happen when my mic is keyed up.

Lastly... here is a video I made earlier this month using OBS Studio (before this latest patch). You can see the audio is clear:

I figured it out. I had to change Push to Talk delay from 0ms to 100ms. Not sure why this is a fix... but it needs to be looked at.
