Question / Help "Starting the output failed."

When the demo steaming was done, it was seemingly fine, but I couldn't get it to start.
"Failed to open NVENC codec: Unknown error occurred"

From your log:
[NVENC encoder: 'simple_h264_stream'] Failed to open NVENC codec: Unknown error occurred

Solution:
You have a GeForce 940MX which doesn't support NVENC. You'll have to use QSV or x264.

Thank you. Is there any QSV or x264 I can get?

QSV is the Intel QuickSync encoder.
x264 is the CPU encoder.

You only have a 2-core CPU so you'll most likely be better going with QSV if that option is available.

I see. How do I purchase or download this encoder? I've tried searching it and all I can find is the decoder. Sorry, I'm no good with computers.

1. Both come with OBS, there is no purchasing.
