Question / Help Starting the Output Failed. Please Check the Log for Details.

Hey there,

whenever I try to start a game recording it says starting the output failed.

Hi!
Did you upgrade your NVIDIA drivers to 378.78?
I was using NVENC fine before doing that update and now I see the exact same error message.
My guess is that NVIDIA broke something, but I'm definitely not an expert.

No recording attempt in that log

Yes, I have the version 378.78.

But there should be a recording attempt in the log because I wanted to start it with my hotkey while I was in the game and there was just this error message.

After that I could start it with the button in obs, but therefor I had to switch out of the game....
