Question / Help Startech HDCAP USB 3.0 Video Capture Device BSOD

So I just recently connected my Startech HDcap and when I try to change the Deinterlace settings under the configure video I get a BSOD every single. When I change these settings in the software that was provided with the device it works fine. I was wondering if there was a way to change these settings in some file while OBS isn't open?

Edit: If i change the settings in AmaRecTV it runs perfectly fine as I want to, but if I open OBS from here OBS causes a BSOD
