Question / Help Start Recording button not responding

Trying to set up OBS studio for recording. It worked for a couple initial tests yesterday but, the quality wasn't were I wanted it. I followed a recent guide and now the record button isn't responding.

I tried reinstalling obs, completely removing video drivers and reinstalling video drivers. I tried a few encoding options.

Edit: I should add that isn't just the button. The Keybind for start recording also doesn't actually start a recording.

Same.
I was using 17.0.0.(64bit) and after I installed 17.0.2 I couldn't stream, record ... nothing.
All my F shortcuts were also not working (mute mic etc)

Fortunately I had a file backup of 17.0.0, so I rebooted, moved the obs_studio folder out the way, copied over the backup file and it worked 100% again (as 17.0.0).

You have very specific setup: mono output and audio set to 320kbit/s, probably you need to change one of this.

Wow, you were dead on. Changed it back to Stereo and it now starts recording.
Just figured I didn't need any L/R specific sound so why not set it to mono. Turns it that would stop if from recording.
