Question / Help SRT Source Issues

Hi
It appears that when a source srt stream is disconnected OBS fails to release the socket/port and will not reconnect until the program is restarted.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I've also noticed this problem, I tried my best getting SRT to work between OBS clients but never succeeded, did manage to get some stuff to work with VLC though, but also noted that I had to restart OBS to retry my connections. Not sure if I'm the problem or if there needs to be a few fixes.

Hi, I have found the same. I can connect the Larix Broadcaster camera app over SRT to OBS Studio but if the feed is interrupted it can not be restarted without restarting OBS Studio.

I had this problem too. I found a temporary fix. Instead of closing the OBS, you can double click on the SRT Media Source, it will open the setting for that media source, just click OK. That would somehow restart the media source and get the video resumes.

Same here, I have tried iPhone7 (iOS 14), Asus ZenPhone 6 (Android 10), Samsung S6+ (Android 7). All srt streams initially work, but if stream is stopped, reboot of OBS is required to get streams back on. Newbe to the forum, is there some kind of ticket system or how the bugs are reported properly...? I'll try to inform Larix as well...

On WIndows I can get it working and I find that the stream can stop and start sometimes (not always). On Linux it does not even succeed in opening the listening socket at all and logs an error.

That works here on Windows.
