Hi, I just set up OBS for the first time yesterday and I'm having a little trouble.
When I play "Detroit: Become Human" on the PS4, I can hear all the music and sound effects OK, but I can't hear any of the characters' spoken voices (it's extremely soft, and cranking the volume up to the max so that I can hear them normally makes my apartment shake due to the loud music).
On the in-game audio menu, there is no "music" vs "voice" balance; you can only choose "small TV" "large TV" "headphones"-- none of these options seems to have any effect.
As far as I can tell, "Detroit: Become Human" is the only game with this problem. Other games I checked that include spoken audio (Hidden Agenda, Grim Fandango, Bloodborne) are all OK.
So this may just be a Detroit bug? However, when I connect my PS4 directly to my computer monitor (not through my computer/Blackmagic using OBS), I can hear the voices fine. So that's why I'm posting here.
Here's my setup:
Windows 10 Pro
Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K
Desktop Video Pro (Blackmagic configuration software): everything set to "auto", it sees PS4 as 1080p59.94
Media Express (Blackmagic configuration software #2): also set to 1080p59.94 (had to reboot the machine to get this to work, but this allows me to confirm video is working within Blackmagic)
OBS config
Source: "Blackmagic Device"-> "Intensity Pro 4K"
Mode: Auto
YUV Color Range: Default
Channel: 2ch
"Use buffering" checked
Audio: I have a pair of speakers plugged into my PC via the stereo mini jack
Any suggestions about what might be wrong would be much appreciated.
