Splitting sound in OBS

Hello,
I'm doing a live stream with a video camera via hdmi and seperate sound source via jack into a video capture and audio card, into OBS. I only want the sound from the separate sound source and not the camera but as its picking up the sound on the HDMI from the camera I wondered if you could separate the HDMI and sound source on OBS? AtM its the USB capture card device which is selected in sound source. Not sure if it possible but any advice would be greatly appreciated

Open Edit->Advanced Audio properties. Here is every distinct audio source listed OBS knows of for the current scene.
It's a summary of all audio sources you define in Settings->Audio (these are called "Desktop Audio") and "Mic/Auxiliary Audio") and the sources that provide audio you added to the current scene such as capture card audio, which are identified with their source names.

Track 1 is usually the track you output to your stream. Now remove the check for track 1 from all sources you don't want to appear in your stream and add checks for all sources you do want appear in your stream.

The default Windows audio device, usually assigned to Desktop Audio, is a mixed version of all Windows sound sources, so you might uncheck this to remove all mixed Windows sounds you don't know where they come from. You can disable it in this dialog, or you can remove it from OBS completely by changing the "default" entry to disabled in Settings->Audio. But don't forget you can add it again, if you need some sound you're missing and you don't find any other source.
