Question / Help Splitting Desktop Audio?

I know that audio can be separated into multiple tracks for editing, I've been doing that with my Game and Mic audio, but is there a way to separate different desktop audios the same way? For example, I use my mic to talk while playing the game and then I also have background music playing on either a separate browser or music playing program like itunes or groove music. The problem is, as far as i can find, the game audio and the music playing program I'm using are both under desktop audio and I cant find a way to separate them into 2 separate tracks.
