I'm experiencing the same issue. Did you ever figure out a way to fix this problem? Thanks.

you need to make the settings.
if you have follow the instruktions and installed all correct you need to tell what drive in what mode (resolution/fps/colorrange) the source operate.
if the cam sends a signal to the camlink that he not support you will have no success
so first check out if the cam runs a from camlink supported mode
then check if camlink correct install and setup
then add it in OBS and set the same settings the cam and camlink Operate at

you need to configure the camlink with the " Game Capture" software from elgato the set the settings for the operation mode
there is a view thinks that can go wrong if you not follow the instructions
a short google search shows massive tutorials to correct setup camlink4k with OBS and it requirements to get it to work

I watched many setup videos, installed Game Capture, and tried to synchronize the settings, but I was unable to resolve the blank screen issue in OBS. While still uncertain on the root cause, I do see some potential issues with my environment. Specifically, I could not get Sony PlayMemories software installed on my Macbook Pro, which is running the 64-bit Big Sur O/S. PlayMemories may have given me additional camera configuration options. Sony recently stopped development on PlayMemories and will not deploy a 64-bit version to run on Mac O/S. Additionally, I’m seeing other comments about Cam Link 4K not being compatible with new Big Sur Mac O/S. https://www.reddit.com/r/elgato/comments/k3u23m/cam_link_4k_stopped_working_suddenly_macbook_pro/.
