Source "Display capture": "recursive" picture, and "enlarged" playback screen

Hi experts, I'm a newbie to OBS and English is not my native language.
When activating the source "Display capture", a "recursive" picture (picture in picture in picture ....) immediately appears - luckily somehow "limited", as no crash or so happens. Is this the way it has to be? Anyway, I then start recording an then minimize the OBS-Window in order to capture what I desire. When done, I have to maximize the OBS again and then click the Stop button there. (Do keyboard controls exist?)
The recorded file shows the screen somewhat enlarged (~10%), thus not the entire screen.
(Do these questions prove me being too dumb for OBS? ;-))

EDIT: Meantime, I foung the solution for the "recursive picture" thing: Disable the Preview screen!

The recursive picture is there because you're capturing the display -- since OBS is on the display, it's going to capture itself. To avoid, just start/stop capture with OBS minimized. You can set hotkeys for this in the Settings->Hotkeys menu.

Could it perhaps have something to do with this setting:
View | Multiview (Fullscreen) | S32D850(1): 1834x1032 @ 0,0
"S32D850" is my Samsung Monitor, whose Display counts 2560x1440 Pixels
Where does the "1834x1032" come from?

Not sure, but you should verify your canvas resolution. Settings -> Video. Make sure your base canvas resolution is set to the resolution you want to work with (in this case, it looks like you're wanting it as your 2560x1400 resolution).

From there, you should be able to fit your monitor capture exactly onto the canvas. If not, then there's something causing that resolution to be off (possibly GPU scaling? it's not a standard windows scaling factor).
