Sound table connected to OBS

Good evening. I am using OBS with a Yamaha mg10xu console with a usb connection and the red and black line cables from the console go to the microphone of the HP laptop. I have the usb key of the table punctured so that there is input and output from the table to the laptop. It turns out that when I lower the sound to speak into the microphone, OBS does not recognize it and follows the level of the music, covering the voice of the microphone, that is, Obs does not obey. In OBs I have the yamaha usb table configured for both output and audio input. I don't know why OBS doesn't recognize the mix I do on the desk. Let's see if they can help me. Thanks.

Your explanation is a little unclear. Do you mean that the line output from the mg10xu connects to a microphone input jack on the laptop, or are you trying to connect the laptop microphone to one of the inputs on the mg10xu?

Both may be a problem:
  • Microphone input jacks on laptops are usually mono, using a TRS jack to provide power to an external microphone. So you can't directly connect stereo outputs from the mg10xu to the laptop's microphone jack. If the laptop has a stereo line input jack, you could connect the mg10xu stereo line output to that using the proper cable.
  • If you want to use the laptop microphone, the outputs from microphones on laptops are usually not available at any jack.
If you want to use the knobs on the mg10xu to control microphone and music level, then you need to connect an external microphone to one of the inputs on the mg10xu, and use another of the inputs for your music.

If you want to the use the laptop's microphone, then you need to configure OBS to have TWO audio sources: one for the laptop microphone, and one for the music coming via USB from the mixer.
