Hello. Using Windows 10/ laptop audio out Into an ATEM Mini switcher mic input. Using several camcorders into same ATEM (external mics sound fine through camcorder/ATEM). Running OBS out to Facebook Live. Audio out from laptop sounds *terrible* trying to fade in/out music loaded on the laptop through the ATEM. Cannot figure out why. Sounds distorted terribly. Audio hum outweighs sound quality. Hiss/channel overloads. Does anyone have a clue???

You'd need to talk to Blackmagic about the ATEM Mini, it's their hardware... from the description it sounds like the only way OBS is involved is that it's the end-point sending out to FB; if all the camcorder audio sounds fine, it's either something with how you're outputting audio from the laptop, or how the ATEM is accepting that audio. It could be any number of things, but their support will be far more qualified to support their hardware and the configurations around it.

I'm using an external sound card with asio before that I was getting fade in and out the last few that I recorded seem to be fine. I noticed it in Facebook live first, so I tried to record to a file and same results so I switched sound cards.

Well one guess is that if the input on the ATEM is MIC LEVEL then it will have a ton of gain added to it, or the gain will be trimmed somewhere in software. The signal coming out of your laptop is LINE LEVEL, way hotter than MIC LEVEL. So my guess is the hot level audio is getting hotter, and thus distorting, inside the ATEM. See if you can find a way to trim (adjust) the audio levels coming into the ATEM. There has to be a BM config panel somewhere.

A DI box fixed this audio issue. It was a compression problem from the laptop.

But now I’m having a far worse issue, and it only started when trying to play a pre-recorded video as a media source in OBS studio 25.0.8. The audio just drops out in livestream. Very unreliable. Completely drops out. I’ve looked for videos on fixing this seeing answers and none have worked. I thank you so much for your time. Is there a fix for this?
