Question / Help Sound not muting (kind of?)

So essentially when I mute the audio device I still record some sound, its like -40db or something, you can't really make out what is being said but you can still hear sound being transmitted. Made a gif showing what this looks like in obs: https://gyazo.com/b5e629931ae5e75af7dd821aca544bda

This is still an issue for me, anyone have any ideas?

You can actually hear something? My understanding is that the indicator flashes at -40db when that device has input so that you can see there's something on that device even when you've muted it. You know, in case you mute a source and then forget that you've muted it. I could be wrong.

Yeah I can still hear sound, you can't make out what the sound is but you can tell there is still sound coming through.
