Question / Help Sound issue while using OBS with PUBG

Hello all,

I have a bizarre sound issue while using OBS/Discord/PUBG. Whenever I am in Discord and open up OBS, the sound is fine. As soon as I open up PUBG, the voice sound becomes somewhat robotic and distorted, which doesn't happen in any other game.

I was just curious if anyone has experienced this before or might know why it happens?

Same thing happens to me. It's only sometimes. I was going to post a log later in the week to see if it can get resolved. I use virtual meter w/ a blue yeti mic and run noise gate in OBS. So many things to "go wrong", glad I'm not the only one.

Interesting to hear. Yeah, I can't totally blame OBS on the issue but since Discord/PUBG work fine together, I figured the issue is throwing OBS into the mix. I am hoping it is just some weird codec issue or setting that can be changed...

I thought I was the only one!!

Did you ever figure out the cause/solution to this? Mine is seeming to happen more frequently and I can't quite pinpoint what is causing it.

No sir, was hoping someone might have something to try. I don't want to start messing with settings and stuff and break something even more.

Normally I would chalk it up to PUBG early access, however I know all of these streamers use Discord/PUBG/OBS together so...

What are your specs? I have an i7-5930k/evga x99 ftw k/32gb ddr4/gtx 970...maybe there might be some relation?
