Question / Help Sound Effect when changing Scene

Hello there,

Is there a way to add a sound effect on OBS Studio for when you change scene ?

Occasionally i am changing scenes with my hotkeys and i am not sure if it changed or not, or sometimes i change to the wrong scene.

It would be great if i could add my own sound effect but if i can't, a simple beep to tell me that when i clicked my hotkey, it did change scene correctly.

Is this possible ?

Just add VLC or Media source to the scene (use short media tracks), set its sound monitoring to Monitor and Output (or Monitor only) and each time the scene transition take place you shall hear the media you added to the scene through the monitoring device (Settings>Advanced>Audio Monitoring Device).

I am about to test what you recommended but i am slightly worried it might not work as intended. The way i have my OBS set up is as following: http://imgur.com/a/z2OZb

When i am on the Start / BRB / End scenes, i always have a theme song playing, so adding another media source and actively listening to it would mean that the stream and i would also hear the song, wouldn't it ?

Is there a different way to go about it ?

I just realized you are probably talking about the newest version 18.0, i just finished downloading it, do i need to uninstall the previous version or can i install on top ?

Don't want to lose all my configurations and positions for all my assets.
