Hey guys,

i have some issues with my setup. If i connect 2 Webcams to my streaming Pc the sound is delayed. Does OBS have some Problems with 2 Cams or is it the Razer Ripsaw or is the streaming pc is not good enough.

Streaming PC i7 3770 3.40 Ghz with 12 Gb DDR3.

Cameras: Logitech c920
Creative vf0790

Do you have any simulate issues or ideas how i can solve the problem?

Thanks for your help and have a nice help.

Do you have the same problem when you record from only one webcam? Do you record the sound in OBS or with another software?

Furthermore you might want to check how big the webcam screen is in OBS. The bigger the more CPU usage it will need. Webcam recordings can get really CPU intensive.

You can also have an eye on the system's performance via the task manager or intel extreme utility while recording.

Hey Alan,

i dont have the problem when i stream with one webcam. It doesnt matter wich one i use. Only with 2 webcams the sound will be delayed.

The screens for the webcams are not very big. They are small in the corners and the CPU usage in OBS will be max at 30%. At the Tast Manager ist will be up to 70%. Is that to much? Do i need a better Streaming PC?

Thanks for you help.

Greetings

Hi Barbeles,

no, I don't think that you will necessarily need a second streaming PC. My idea is that the problem lies in using 2 webcams at the same time. I heard of people having problems with this. Maybe you might want to check this following tutorial which should show how to set up 2 webcams in OBS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92bSB0Pk4_w.

Even though your average CPU usage is around 70%, short peaks to 100% might already cause these problems. You could try to set the audio buffer a bit higher which worked for me when I had similar issues.

Cheers,

Alan
