Sony handycam problem

I have tried Connesting my Sony HandyCam FDR Ax53

I have a USB Video Capture Device And a Mini Hdmi For my Camera When i connect My Camera Into the USB Video Capture And I click On The Video Capture Device(Virtual Camera) It just comes up with a Blue Screen And a Video Camera with an Arrow through it.I can live stream through my Webcam On the site But Im trying to be able to do Live stream from My Camera how do i get my Camera to Appear on my laptop as a Virtual Camera?

Any help would be great

It Does Not give me that option when i Plug in the Camera It just gives me the option of Webcam or Virtual OBS Camera. USB Video devices does not show up in the sources to pick from when i have it plugged in

Tomas is right try to check the device manager if the USB Video Capture device is properly installed.

Thank you very much for your help but nothing you have requested has worked.It May have to do with the capture device it’s just one of those Cheap USB capture devices off Amazon.Which did work for awhile but I did notice that it got really really hot at some points.And it has probally gotten to the point where it isn’t working anymore that would be my first guess with the problem because I did not even see see video capture Device inside the disk Manager while it was plugged in either
