New to OBS, I’m learning how to use it with the help of « OBS studio multiplatform Help Guide.(app. ver. 20.0.0) » .
Thank you for this work, clear and useful, great work, and OBS seems a good software too (first impression)
I use a MacBookPro 15’’ early 2011, with 2,2GHz Intel Core i7 and 2 GPU (Radeon 6750M and intel HD 3000) (and a fresh SSD 500 GO)
I am now testing the « source properties » described in the manual (p.44+); and have thoses questions:

Question 1- are « Game Capture » properties ( manual p.45) only for Window users ?
I don’t see the option in the mac menu,
… but I can use « Game capture (Syphon) » which is interesting, but difficult to open (this problem has been noted by others in the forum, may be an ergonomic problem or a small bug)

Question 2 - following a question/answer in the Mac forum, What will happen if Mac are all using « metal » langage? as we cannot use Syphon. (and no Game Capture)

RQ- Jack input client is noted as a « Linux component », but it’s also available in Mac menu (i didn’t try it for now)

I was unable to open a media with « Media Source » properties. It’s described in the manual, and accessible in the menu.
Question 3- I don’t understand what this property is used to? Is their something specific to do with « ffmpeg demuxer »(I know I have ffmpeg somewhere (?) in my Mac because I use iffmpeg as graphic interface)
-Is it a Windows option only?
none of many options described in the manual is accessible in the mac menu?

Question 4- in the manuel (p.57) is a « VLS video source » property, with some reference to Mac but I don’t see it in the drop down menu ? what is it about? (but I tried VLC with Syphon without problem)

1 &2. Game Capture is Windows only. Syphon is the closest Mac equivalent but yes, only works on some OpenGL apps and will not work on Metal apps.

Jack only works on MacOS 10.9.x and not later.

Media Source works properly on MacOS. Not exactly sure what issue you are having there.

Never used VLC as a source but as you noticed Syphon works on it.

The headphones are not working any more on my iMac and nothing has apparently changed. My operating system is OS X Mavericks. Any help would be appreciated.
