Running OBS 24.0.5 on Catalina 10.15.2, and running into an issue where the Window Capture drop-down list only shows the same handful of items, no matter what windows I'm actually running. Picture and log below - please help!

Please ensure OBS has permissions to access your microphone & capture devices.
1) Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2) Click the icon labelled Security & Privacy.
3) Click the Privacy tab at the top.
4) In the lefthand column, click on 'Microphone', 'Camera', or 'Screen recording' to manage app permissions.
5) Tick the box for OBS

Hi There,

I have the same issue. I am running OBS version 24.0.6 (64 bit) on Mac OS X Catalina Version 10.15.2. I have checked all the app permissions. And still have the same problem. I am trying to capture quicktime player. Check my screenshots below.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Same issue initially and fixed it :
- First select source "Display Capture" --> Grant access to OBS for accessibility functions.
- Then select source "Window Capture" --> I can now access PowerPoint

Sorry, I don't follow the fix. Where did you grant OBS acccessibility.

I have the same issue. The only way I can see the available windows in the drop down list, is if they are literally layered on top of my OS window. Here has been my fix.

Let me start by saying that I use Hot corners and Mission control for multiple desktops. (I've attached a file in case you don't know what this is.) I suspect this has something to do with the problem. If I close all mission control windows but 1,
Mission control.jpg
and use Alt-tab to quickly access several different windows, this seems to fix the issue. Huge bummer as I use Mission control to keep windows separate and clean and easy access. If you are using mission control and have multiple "desktops" open, you won't see the list of windows open on other desktops. This is not the same as multiple monitors. Hope this helps. If you are unsure if you have mission control and or hot corners active, let me know and I can walk you through it.

I encountered the same problem but after trial and error, I found out that OBS only lists windows on the same desktop. Therefore, the solution is to exit full screen (both OBS and the window that you want to capture). Once they are on the same desktop, click the display capture property again and the window name will now be on your list. Hope this helps.
