Question / Help [Solved] My stream is ugly...

Hi guys,

My stream videos located at:
https://www.twitch.tv/40p3/videos/all
Not trying to be a pro streamer, just for fun and really doing it for myself and also for support purposes for game developers (in case I find a bug, its good if you got vid. documenting the issue).

Internet: 240/20
Bitrate: 3500
Hardware (NVENC) encoding
Using NL, Amsterdam server to upload Streaming (according the stream test app its 100% quality on 10000+ kbps)
Encoded Preset: Tried High Quality and Low-Latency High Quality
Screen size 1920*1200, output same resolution
Filter Lanczos (Shar, 32samples)
FPS: 60

CPU utilization is around 80% during game, I don't see it go up to 100% to be honest, so OBS could get a bit more power (but don't seem to affect my gameplay yet).

I7@920 (4.2Ghz), EVGA FTW GTX1070, 12GB DDR3@1600Mhz, SSD 250GB for system, 3x250GB Raid0 SSD for games and additional SSD for storage. (motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe V2, Sata2 though), external Soundblaster X-Fi 5.1 Pro surround external sound plus some Microsoft webcam for mic and cam.

So I'm wondering how other pro streamers can make such a clean beautiful pictrure quality? Mine is blurry as hell, on fast move the screen is full of big squares. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

increase your bitrate, you seem to have enough upload for it

Ok...

The message in OBS confused me when I set 3500... I thought I can't stream higher quality. :)

Raised to 10k. Seems nicer now, thank you for pointing this out!

Big events and partnered streams where transcoding is available are not the same as individual unpartnered users. Please keep that in mind when telling people to crank up the bitrate. Streaming unpartnered at 10 Mbps is going to cause more buffering issues for viewers if nothing else.

Great advice would be presenting the available options and their potential downsides so a user can decide. Want to stream above 3500 Kbps to Twitch? Okay, that's an option, the downsides are a greater chance of playback buffering for viewers, particularly when transcoding isn't an option for your channel. Want to stream at a lower bitrate? Okay, that's an option, you may need to scale back your resolution or FPS to maintain decent image quality. There's usually a balance somewhere, we try to help users find that balance and educate them about what can go wrong.

See how that works? Please don't make me babysit you over your abrasive pseudo-informative posts.
