(Solved) Game Capture Captures Entire Monitor, Not Just Game

Hey all!
My friend is struggling when trying to set up their OBS with Game Capture to record and stream games. They use Game Capture to record the game in fullscreen, however, whenever they tab out of the game, OBS records or streams the entire monitor "behind the game" rather than just holding on the game itself. Is there any reason this is happening, and any potential fix?

Somewhat solved! Turns out, there was a preview and program window, and using the fade slider, we were able to make it capture just the game rather than the entirity of the screen. Not sure how it works, but it does, so, yay!
