Question / Help [SOLVED] Display Capture Black Screen (Usual Fixes Not Working)

Just today, when I opened OBS Studio, it was giving me the "failed to initialize video" error. I was able to solve this by completely uninstalling and reinstalling OBS, but the display capture is no longer working. It shows a black screen. I'm familiar with this problem and know the usual solutions, so for clarification:

-OBS IS running on my Intel processor, NOT my Nvidia processor.
-OBS IS opened as an administrator.
-OBS IS running in compatibility mode.

My drivers are up to date. It's still giving me a black screen when I attempt display capture. I've tried adjusting my base resolution as well as disabling and enabling hardware acceleration. I have made no progress and am quite stumped. Is there anything else I can try?

The compatibility mode for windows 8 was going to solve absolutely nothing, so resetting that to default wouldn't go astray here.

Thank you very much! I didn't realize they changed where you set the preference, that's inconvenient lmao. It works now, though!
