Question / Help Software or hardware encoding

So my specs are

i7 7700k
16GB of lpx Ram
Gtx 780ti
Windows 10 Pro

Should i use software or hardware encoding , i heard hardware encoding is not as good , i mainly will be streaming FPS games.

My bit-rate is currently 4000 and using the Very-fast preset

Hardware encoding requires more bitrate to achieve the same quality as software but it's all trial & error. Find the settings that you feel comfortable with.

Try Tools, Auto-Configuration Wizard. If you can I'd try and use x264 as it's better for streaming but it does need a lot of CPU
