Question / Help So I'm trying to record Overwatch

Log doesn't show a recording attempt.

Also, try simple output mode, indistinguishable quality, software (low cpu) encoder

It's even when I'm not recording. It's lagging and I put shadow play on to see if it drops frames, it just laggs like crazy. What could that be caused by? and I don't think a log would help with that.

shadowplay is your best bet now because nvenc in obs causes fps drops and stutters for some reason. its much easier to use than obs, see video tutorials on YT and try it. select low quality (its still good looking) and use manual mode only for a start to minimize disk load

@Osiris did you set any special options anywhere like nvidia control panel or installed any additional libraries beside dxwebsetup? shadowplay works really smooth for me while obs nvenc causes frame drops in game and sutters in recording. any switch or option that may have influence on this? there are few other threads about it, like this one for example https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/60-fps-playback-looks-choppy.47642/

edit: inconclusive - bf4 recording works well with nvenc while dark souls 3 stutters and becomes laggy

tried to record overwatch, videos came out like not all frames were captured, animation would jump by few centimeters on screen from time to time - log was clean no lag or drops. shadowplay vids were perfect. obs doesnt like all games for some reason

I was able to record Overwatch with Nvenc perfectly - 1080p60 smooth. But then I updated Nvidia card to the latest drivers, now even the preview is laggy. No framerate drop in-game, just laggy preview and/or recording in OBS.

I tried to revert the drivers, even with DDU, no success
