I recorded the output of Resolume in OBS on my windows laptop as a h254 1440x1080 30 pfs video, data rate is 22 MBit/s, data size 770 MB.
Now I wonder if my recording settings are wrong, because this video plays very bad on my dated MacBook pro. Lots of dropped frames, when I move the playhed I see the beachball. This doesn't happen with other videos that were not recorded in OBS, but these are much smaller in size, about 50 MB.
(I cannot play the movie on the windows laptop, because I don't have Quicktime installed.)
The settings are:
Output - Streaming: Video Bitrate = 2500 kbps; Encoder = Software (x264); Audio Bitrate = 160; Recording Quality = Indistinuishable quality; Recording Format = mp4; Encoder = Hardware (NVEC)
