Question / Help Slow FPS i7 4790K GTX 1080 FTW

I'm having issues getting my stream to perform at 720P 30FPS. My webcam seems to be slowing things down and the game itself is going from 30 FPS down to 15 FPS sometimes. Can anyone help with this?

ISP: Verizon FIOS
Down: 150mbs
UP: 150mbs

How does that even make sense? I have an EVGA GTX 1080... i'm using the CPU to encode. Is it an issue with the resolution on my 2560x1440 144hz monitor?

OBS Studio renders with GPU.
If your GPU is stressed by your Game, there is no room for OBS.
Reduce ingame graphic requeriments or limit FPS

Would this issue be fixed if i did a 2 pc stream or went SLI?

i7 4790k has 16 PCI express channels.

Two cards in SLI will be set to 8x instead 16x.
So, better buying a Titan XP

2 PC stream can solve the issue.

So if i were to go SLI i wouldn't have the PICe slot for an onboard Capture Card...sheesh. Should have just invested in a XEON processor.

Onboard Capture card; if you use PCI Express, your unique GPU will be set to 8x, instead 16x.
The guide linked explain how to stream without capturecard.

I want to use a single PC setup. Are there PC specs I shoot for? I want to stream World of Warcraft. I want to purchase pieces to build a new PC. If you can direct me to a post that you know of would be great.

Thanks, I will compare my graphics card to this site. I am not at home and cant remember the graphics card. I know I got the card two years ago, so I hope it will be up to par to stream with an i7. I am new to this so that is why I am so ignorant.

You can go for i7 6800K or 6850K (6 cores, 12 threads), use your old card, save and buy a better one later.
