I heard about this a few hours ago and after figure how to configure it to target specific audio and video sources I managed to get past all the hiccups...except for one.
When I set the profile to record a specific window (in this case a rather old game which has a max res of 1024x768) it properly records until I exit out of that window. That would be fine since the application is otherwise suspended. Problem is when I go back into the window it doesn't resume. If I try to record another clip afterwards it stays at the last frame before I minimized the window. I have to completely restart the application in order to resume recording normally. I do notice the audio, however follows the application down to the letter, that is to say it will drop out and resume when the window is closed and opened again, or when I try to make an additional clip. The video source doesn't follow in any sense without a restart of the application I am trying to record. I tried working around by using the display profile and others but as I stated the application in question is max 1024x768 so it looks like a borderless windows alongside the rest of the desktop.
P.S. I don't know if this is the case with similar applications like fraps since I haven't really experimented with that one in years.
Also I have it set to capture a specific which otherwise works fine.
