Dear OBS people, admin team and everyone in this thread,
For start, my english is not fluent so as my typing grammar ect. Please, keep in mind that there will be mistakes which Im sorry for, thanks for advance

Simple :
I noticed that lately when im streaming, my monitor feels like 60hz, really big stutter which I can tell, because smoothnes of the cursor on display is much much better, but in-game is much worse and really can be tell. I tried SLOBS aswell, same problem, but OBS was still much better overall. Reducing from 1080p to 720p aswell 30fps and 60fps - no difference. I changed Enconding aswell, no difference once again. I can really see the difference when im not streaming and playing and streaming while playing.

I used to stream years before aswell with my PC setup which is - AMD RYZEN 5 3600, GTX 1050Ti,8GB RAM - everything was okay, my monitor felt the same, i could really tell that 165hz is there, after 5 months of not streaming i decided to go with it once again and then this problem happened. I know my PC is not suited for streaming, but its not a toaster or microwave, i know there is a problem but i dont know how to fix it or find it. Keep in mind that i have only one monitor.

Thank you for any tips or solutions, would be really glad to see people with same problem and people who found solutions,

Best regards,
houska

Set you monitor (and restrict your game play) to 120Hz. It should have a common divider with 30 or 60.

Your current 165 / 60 = 2,75 thus no common divider, leading to stutter.

Well, for FPS gaming, im playing Valorant, i cant pretty much go to 120hz. What about 144hz? And restrict my game play you mean fps?

Ill try 120hz aswell :) Thanks for advice

No, 144 / 60 = 2,4. Stick with 120.

So i tried 120hz version, i tried 120hz via Nvidia control panel, but Valorant is taking highest refresh rate available. I capped my FPS to 120 aswell. After i tried capping my HZ via CRU. Tried every option with stream aswell, there was sligtly better difference but still a really big stuttering like 60-70hz monitor. And i cant play with 120hz, its just personal opinion but playing FPS game as a semi-pro for 120hz is bad for me, so this solution doesn't work for me

To be honest: your eye can't tell any changes faster than 60 Hz. So when you experience stuttering or so, it's beet frequencies resulting from intermixtures between incompatible frequencies, as qhobbes and me said already. So insisting on screen refreshes over 120 Hz, even under acceptance of disturbing trouble and flaw is..., in my humble opinion,... [left out for politeness]

Personally i know these discussions from the field of digital audio. The reasons to use samplerates over 48kHz is not due to the human hearing ability, but more for technical reasons in depth (regarding audio processing before any digital-analog conversion in the last stage). But, if i would say "I need 192kHz to be happy" while having issues with my 192kHz equipment (meanwhile even a 44.1kHz equipment would work flawless) is a small kind of stupid.
