Question / Help Sims 3 Stream Shows Only Black Loading Screen

Downloaded OBS Studio today, and a friend guided me through getting a stream going on Twitch. Well, it captured the Sims 3 Launcher, but once Sims was running, it only showed a black screen with the whirling loading mouse icon. After 5 minutes we could hear the music of Sims, but still no video.
I also tried screen sharing Sims3 on Discord, and it did the same thing. What am I doing wrong?

First question: are you using a laptop?

Past that, make sure you're either selecting "Any fullscreen application" in the Game Capture source and try running OBS as admin. If that doesn't solve it, make sure you manually choose The Sims in the Game Capture source *after* the game is launched (not the launcher).

Some third-party applications can conflict with OBS and cause issues, such as failing Game or Window capture, audio issues, and at worst crashes with OBS. For a full list, check here: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Known-Conflicts

If all that doesn't help, reproduce the issue and do the following:

- In OBS select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.
- Copy the URL and paste it here.
