Folks:
I am trying to use OBS to aid me in converting Sony MiniDV recordings on to my Mac. Many of my recordings have odd tape issues where the audio clips out occassionally. So if I connect the camcorder to my mac via FireWire and import directly into iMovie, iMovie will clip the video when the audio clips out.
ANYWAY!
I downloaded OBS and was able to find my camera and record the video and most of the audio. However, I’m trying to get the tool to import based on the camera’s resolution 720X480 (Standard TV resolution). Not very demanding resolution for modern computers but I can’t seem to find out how to configure the tool to record the exact output in 720x480 and not higher as I don’t want black bands on either side of the output if its configured for HD, etc.
Clearly I’m not dealing with HD; nor streaming. Just wanting to capture imput from my Sony MiniDV player and convert the video and audio into a .MOV file that is in 720x480. Recommendations how to configure for this exact resolution would be welcomed.
Thanks,
TKH
