Question / Help Simple and Advanced

Ok probably a noob question but...

There are two ways to look at settings for streaming "Simple" and "Advanced"
I assumed these were two different views of the SAME settings, but it turns out I can set the bit rate to different values in those sections.
So... which will OBS default to use?

I hope that makes sense. It did in my head.

OBS Studio will use the output mode you have selected.
If you select Advanced, stream/record will use those settings, Even when Simple maybe different.
