If you're using a Macbook then you can try Presentify. It lets you highlight your cursor, shows click animations, and also lets you annotate your screen.

keypress-OSD can do it in full display capture mode however don't work in window capture mode

On Windows 11 press the key combination Win+SHIFT+H.

That's not plain Windows 11, that's a Powertoys feature called Mouse Highlighter: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/mouse-utilities#mouse-highlighter

Be prepared to get a toolbox that might overwhelm you with usability features you never heard of and never thought of. Be careful and make sure you deactivate all features you don't need, don't understand and don't want.
